When Janelle reached out to me, I was waiting for a train from Itanagar to Guwahati in India at the end of a trip for my Tattoos of Asia project. It was an unplanned early exit, as we found out that rebel groups would be closing the roads out of Arunachal Pradesh and if we wanted to leave we should do it now. So, I was quite excited to get some good news in my inbox as I was sitting on the platform. They were looking to visit Korea in October to take custody of their son and wanted to do a family photography session with me during their visit.
As soon as they got the call to visit, Janelle was back in touch and we scheduled a quick one-hour session before they left for home. It was a warm afternoon in Seoul and we met at Changdeokgung for We started the session with a couple of injuries and some snacks to feel better. Once we did get started, though, we had plenty of fun together. Two strong personalities with their own wills made getting everyone together challenging and fun. Whatever Georgia was up to, Sumin wanted a part of it!
We started with some energetic shots to get everyone back into the game after their snacks and then made our way around the corner to spend some time up in the air. Georgia wanted to direct everyone to where they needed to go, so we let her play conductor of the train for a while in front of the beautiful palace architecture. To wrap up, we knew we wanted a couple of shots of the kids together, the whole family sitting together, and then some of each of the kids. Switching between snacks and shots, we managed to get these all done and get everyone home in time for dinner.
