Having the chance to work as an event photographer has its perks at times. Last week, I spent the weekend with the Beats by Dre team making portraits at Ansan Valley Rock Festival. This week, I was privileged to join the Glenlivet Korea team and the Davidoff Korea team for a tasting and awareness event at Burn in Hal, Gyeongridan. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect as this was the first time I had photographed a tasting event, but it was a smoothly run event and we had plenty of time to spend on photographing the story of the evening.
The whiskeys, which were Glenlivet 12, 15 and 18 years were accompanied with an aroma kit. These were served at tasting and given background with the Glenlivet brand history delivered by Mr Kwon from Glenlivet. Hal and his team put on a gorgeous spread of cheeses and salads to go with the drinks. If you haven’t had the food at Burn in Hal, you’re missing out! Just to top it all off, Davidoff brought another air of class with their Robusto Maduro for each of the attendees.
Two hours later, the event was smoke, ashes and smiles. A great event put on by some even better people. Keep your eyes peeled for these, as they are really worth attending.
For now, enjoy the photographs.
Lucky man grasshopper. I hope you got into the spirit of things!! Po.
